RBMS would like to warmly invite members and non-members to our in-person seminar featuring “QLD Highlights from the 11ASM Conference” at The Alliance Hotel in Meanjin, Brisbane.

We have a great line-up of speakers from the conference, with the chance to ask questions and discuss ideas. Thank you to Geoff Veitz (Streamology), Sheyanne Frisby (Alluvium), Mick Cheetham (Water Technology), Daryl Lam (Water Technology), James Shelley (Jacobs), Eloise Wilson (UQ), Chamantha Aththapathu (Hydrobiology) and Jack Coates Marnane (Healthy Land and Water).

Jointly sponsored by Alluvium, Hydrobiology, Streamology and Water Technology, drinks and catering will be provided, guaranteed to be a great evening of networking and thought-provoking discussion on river basin management.

• Mick Cheetham (WT) – Quantifying the benefit of vegetation in reducing sediment delivery to Moreton Bay

• Rapid Fire – Chamantha Aththapathu (Hydrobiology) – “Two Creek Systems Are Not the Same!”, highlighting the unique challenges and solutions in restoring headwater streams.

• Rapid Fire – Jack Coates Marnane (Healthy Land and Water) – Site level vegetation and sediment processes observed over a decade of river rehabilitation.
