Join our guest speakers on Urban Streams, with Rhys Coleman (Melbourne Water) who will shed light on the “Potential impacts of future urban growth and climate change on platypus in Greater Melbourne”.

Followed by Matthew Burns and Daniel Xu (University of Melbourne) whose research group were recently awarded an ARC Linkage grant to investigate “Can real-time control deliver environmental flows to protect urban streams?”. Working with Melbourne Water, South East Water and Yarra Ranges Council and local community to test the technical and social feasibility of operating stormwater control measures using real-time control to improve the hydrology and ecological health of urban streams.
